Like Macrium Reflect, this free utility is based on Linux and is specifically built for drive cloning with any data. It accomplishes this by replicating all of the bits on a disk to a larger or equal drive.
Many file systems are supported, including (1) GNU/ext2, Linux's ext3, ext4, ReiserFS, reiser4, xfs, jfs, btrfs, f2fs, and nilfs2; (2) MS Windows' FAT12, FAT16, FAT32, NTFS; (3) Mac OS' HFS+; (4) FreeBSD, NetBSD, and OpenBSD's UFS; Partclone saves and restores only utilized blocks in partitions for these file systems. Clonezilla uses dd to do sector-to-sector copy for unsupported file systems.
Clonezilla SE, which is intended for huge cloning, supports multicast.
To clone a partition, use partclone. Clonezilla, which includes several other tools, can save and recover not only partitions but entire disks.
Clonezilla is a disk imaging/cloning application that works similarly to True Image®. Only used blocks in the hard drive are saved and restored. Clonezilla includes two types: Clonezilla live and Clonezilla SE (Server Edition).
